Evelyn is an avid nature lover. She credits her mother and father, who introduced her to the beauty of forests, oceans, and organisms of the world. Woods are her second home, a serene place that she can escape to and find herself again.

Saddened by news of rampant pollution, environmental destruction, and vanishing species, she wrote this book in hopes of educating children about the importance of these “second homes”, and to inspire courage and integrity in future generations.

Evelyn graduated with a Bachelors of Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She is currently attending Emory University for graduate studies.
